Giuseppe Torelli (22 April 1658 – 8 February 1709) was an Italian violist, violinist, teacher, and composer. As a baroque composer, he was most well known for his contribution to the development of the instrumental concerto.
Concerto in d minor was arranged for keyboard by J.S. Bach (BWV 979), who changed the key the b minor. Robert Wetzel of the Odeum Guitar duo produced this arrangement for two guitars based on Bach’s work, but switched the concerto back to it’s original key: d minor.
This is the first movement of the work: Allegro. The other movements will be posted soon!
